Presidents Day 2018: What’s Open, Closed In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC — Presidents Day 2018 is just days away. While it’s business as usual for some, there are many services and businesses that are closed for the day. Certain stores and car dealerships will hold Presidents Day sales this weekend and on Monday.

The day is typically considered a celebration of not just George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, who were born in February, but of all U.S. Presidents.

Here is a look at what will be open on Presidents Day, and what will be closed:

Public schools – No classes for students, Teacher workday (Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools) Public libraries – Open City of Charlotte government – Open Mecklenburg County offices – Open Post Office: Closed Banks: Closed Restaurants: Open Retail stores: Open Supermarkets: Open Gas stations: Open Movie theaters: Open
